About Jenny
Jenny Laney has always proved herself to be a lifelong learner. With a number of University degrees behind her; she has first and foremost been a teacher.
Before a relatively short and successful career in Real Estate – something she said - “she always had to give a go” - she had a proven record in education - most note - worthy - as a senior dean and performance mentor/fitness advisor at a private secondary school in ChCh – a role in which she undertook the responsibility of physical fitness and mental preparation for elite teams.
She was also part of a World Mentoring scheme for young people and completed the Blanchard course in Student Self – Management – a programme she taught to students.
She has built a reputation as a consultant/ mentor, who provides exceptional service and a level of care that is characterised by:
-
Knowledge and skill, integrity, and authenticity.
-
An honest, clear communication style.
-
An innate eye for detail and thoroughness.
-
Providing the human touch. Understanding that every student and athlete is different and making the time to get to know their needs and how they “tick”.

"I've decided to return to working with students and young sports people as a mental skills, self-leadership, and self-management coach because I often observe a clear need in today's educational setting for guiding students in managing pressure, improving focus, and setting priorities both on the sports field and in the classroom.
At its essence, pressure stems from fear. By equipping athletes and students with effective strategies, we can make pressure less intimidating. My goal is to impart these strategies and nurture an empowered mindset that provides them with the strength and confidence to pursue their full potential and make intentional, positive choices, rather than merely reacting to life's events."
